Gateway To Trauma Repair

 About the Book

Written for practitioners as well as everyday people who struggle with various traumas in their life, Gateway to Trauma Repair: A story from 17th Century Canada will inform and inspire readers.  Dr. Julie uses a story from history as a parable so you can become acquainted with a true-life heroine, the first female property holder in Canada, Madeleine de Roybon D’Allone.  Madeleine came from the Court of the French King to Quebec in 1671 for the purpose of healing from various trauma (sexual abuse) symptoms.  The reader will be invited into her life’s story as she explores the wilderness in Canada, and grows in her sense of personal identity.  It ends with her being captured by the Indians and taken to their village to live.  The spiritual aspect of this book reveals how faith can help overcome the triggers and problems occurring because of trauma. Each chapter has a “Dr. Julie Deep Dive” narrative which will help the reader heal.
